Technical documentation

Definiton:

The gathering together of all technical information about the machine. This information must be continually updated throughout the lifetime of the machine.

By technical information, we mean:

• Drawings
• How the machine works

• Component documentation
• Start-up instructions
• Maintenance instructions

• Safety instructions
• Environmental instructions
• Adjustment instructions
• BOM: Bill Of Material

• Recommended spare parts
• Preventive maintenance
• Maintenance history (including breakdown analysis)
• Certificates (CE, inspection, etc.)
• Initial settings

The aim:

The maintenance technician must be able to immediately, quickly and accurately have all information in one place that is needed for the correct maintenance of the machine. In this way, personalised documentation is avoided.
